My career didn’t start in a boardroom.
It started in a nursing home.

For 25 years, I wasn’t a consultant, I was the director of an elderly-care facility. I didn't just talk about strategy; I managed the daily, complex, and deeply human reality of healthcare delivery. I balanced budgets, negotiated with governements, comforted families, and worked side-by-side with frontline health care workers.
That experience taught me a fundamental truth: the most brilliant idea is worthless if it can't survive contact with reality. I learned to spot the difference between a solution that looks good on a slide and one that a tired nurse will actually use at 3 AM.

From care home to code: A builder's mentality

But I also saw the immense potential for technology to solve deep-seated problems. Frustrated by the clunky, off-the-shelf software available, I did something unusual: I decided to build my own.
I co-founded and built two early SaaS companies, JPLAN and CALBLOX, from the ground up. I went from zero-to-one, writing the first lines of code, pitching investors, and navigating the complexities of daily operations. It was in the trenches of software development that I learned how to turn a fuzzy concept into a functional, revenue-generating product.
This isn't a typical consultant’s background. I’m not just an advisor; I am a builder and an operator. I have been on both sides of the table; the healthcare executive demanding results and the tech founder trying to deliver them.
